MISSION

Mission of Waheguru Simran Foundation is same as the mission of Guru Nanak. Guru Nanak was born as a human with a mission. His mission is establishment of kingdom of God on this earth.  The primary objective is welfare of humanity and divine meditation ie. Sewa and Simran. We are born as a human with a purpose. Mission of Guru Nanak was to reunite separated souls with the bigger soul called God.

To give practical shape to His mission, He travelled all over the world. He gave us three basic principles

  1. Naam Japo – Chant the true Name of God
  2. Kirat Karo – Earn your living
  3. Vand Chhako – Share your resources

All these principles are not separate but complimentary to each other. We are supposed to follow all the three together. The underlying meaning of these principles is LOVE.  You chant the Name of God whom you love. In love of God, you earn your living honestly. With love of God, you develop love with  humanity and share your resources. In other words, you can say that mission of Guru Nanak is LOVE and Guru Nanak is master of LOVE

Guru Nanak invites you to come to Him and play the game of love.  He says :-

  • If you want to play the game of Love
  • Come to me  with your head on your hand
  • Playing this game of Love
  • Sacrifice yourself without hesitation.

Such is the game of love. There is a long line of martyrs who sacrificed themselves for Love.

Love is the essence of life. Love for the One. Love for creation of the One. Remove your ego and be one with the One.

Before Guru Nanak, God sent many saviours. But all those saviours misused their divine powers and started their own worship. But Guru Nanak came to establish Name of God. He continued His mission for 239 years (1469-1708)  through 10 bodies.  Within these 239 years, He showed the world how to follow the principles of God, now embodied in Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He did what He taught. He said that Truth is high but higher than truth is truthful living. He Himself lived truthful life. If He said “Kirat Karo”, He Himself worked in the fields. If He said “Vand Chhako”, He shared His 20 Rupees with the Saints and started Langar – the free kitchen. If He said protect the poor, He Himself stood by the poor and helpless.

Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Nanak, formalized everything and gave final shape to mission of Guru Nanak. He transferred all the rights to Khalsa Panth. Now its responsibility of Khalsa Panth to carry on mission of Nanak.  Khalsa Panth should work the same way Guru Nanak did. Khalsa Panth should spread the kingdom of God across the planet.  Message of Guru Nanak is for all without any discrimination. If you are a Sikh, its your responsibility to educate yourself and spread the teachings everywhere. Be a role model so that if anyone comes in your contact, (s)he should be inspired. Inspiring others to do divine meditation is as important as doing it yourself.

Align your mission with mission of Guru Nanak and spread Love everywhere. This is mission of Waheguru Simran Foundation and I invite all of you to join us in this noble mission of Guru Nanak.
