There are some key concepts to understand Naam Simran and Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. If you read Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, you will find that you cannot understand it. It does not mean that you don’t know the vocabulary. Even if you know the meaning of words, you cannot understand the context and how to apply it in your life. Sikhism is a practical dharma. Its only when you experience the teachings in your life that you understand the concept.

Teaching 1 : Pray to God when you need something.
Teaching 2 : God knows everything why are you praying.
On the face of it, it may seem contradictory. But it isn’t. Actually the first teaching is for a seeker who is new. This teachings builds your confidence and trust in God. When with Naam Simran, you are in higher stage, you have already experienced that God helps you when you pray. At that stage, you need not pray. God fulfiles your wishes even without prayer.

The best way to know Waheguru Simran is to “DO” Waheguru Simran. Shortly we will publish a How-to guide. Meantime, focus on Gurbani. Do your Nitnem in the morning and evening. Do even if you don’t understand it. If a child does not study but goes to class, he is considered present. If you just do it, you will certainly get some benefit. Gurbani is the bottle which gives us Waheguru Simran. After doing Nitnem, you will feel peace, stability of mind, ras – this is Naam “Waheguru”. To prolong this joy, keep chanting Waheguru in mind. Those who have longing for Naam, will get Naam for sure soon or later.
